Materials
Tungsten bead Black bead (One, sized to the hook)
Glass beads, diamond Clear/sparkle glass beads diamond (Two x-small, at the rear of the body)
Amnesia monofilament Green amnesia monofilament (15 lb, twelve turns/knots for the body)
CDC Natural dun cdc feather (A few feathers spun in a dubbing loop for the legs)
Hare's ear dubbing Natural dark hare s ear dubbing (A pinch for the thorax)
UV resin Clear uv resin (Loon UV Thick or Thin, to coat the body)
How to tie it
Slide the black tungsten bead onto the hook, then slide two x-small diamond glass beads on behind it and push them back toward the bend. Mount the hook and start black thread.
Work the two glass beads to the rear of the shank, just at the start of the bend, and dam them in place with thread wraps front and back so they sit as the gas bubble at the back end of the fly.
Tie in the 15 lb green Amnesia just in front of the glass beads.
Build the abdomen with twelve turns of the Amnesia, working forward in tight touching turns up to about the 65% point, then tie off and trim.
Coat the Amnesia abdomen with UV resin and cure it so the body is glassy and durable.
Spin natural dun CDC in a dubbing loop and take two or three turns behind the bead for legs, stroking the fibers back as you go.
Dub a short, buggy thorax of natural dark hare's ear over the CDC tie-off, filling the gap to the bead.
Whip finish behind the bead and pick out the thorax so the hare's ear and CDC blend together.
