How to tie it
Lay a heavy thread base from the eye back to the bend, using the tag end as a spacer so the wraps stack evenly.
Cut a short piece of 80 lb mono and tie it along one side of the shank, kept well back off the eye, following the curve of the bend to widen the shank and stop the body from spinning; trim the rear.
Cover the mono with two or three more layers of thread, then throw a few loose loops back and forward over it to create surface area for the glue, and tie off at the eye.
Using the foam cutter on a cutting mat, stamp three 2mm foam baitfish bodies (rock and lift the cutter to cut cleanly).
Line up the noses of all three foam pieces, pinch them together to give them a direction, and dot glue on the backs.
Glue the stacked foam bodies onto the top and bottom of the thread/mono base so they sandwich the shank, noses meeting just back from the eye, and let the gel set.
Colour the foam with Copic markers to a baitfish pattern and add stick-on eyes to each side.
Coat the head and eyes with Loon UV thick (or 5-minute epoxy) and cure to lock everything and seal the foam.
