Materials
- Bead Gold or black tungsten bead (1, sized to gap (optional))
- Tail Black or olive material (marabou plume)
- Flash Pearl flashabou (few strands (optional))
- Body Black, olive, or claret material (Fritz/blob chenille)
How to tie it
- Slide a tungsten bead to the eye if used and mount the hook, starting thread at the bend.
- Tie in a marabou tail one shank length long, adding a couple of strands of flash if wanted.
- Tie in a length of Fritz (fritz/straggle) chenille at the tail base.
- Wrap the Fritz forward in touching turns to just behind the bead, stroking the fibers rearward each turn so they stand out and breathe.
- Tie off behind the bead and sweep the fibers back.
- Whip finish and pick out the body fibers for a full, mobile profile.
