Reference Recipe
- Hook Standard dry/emerger, down eye, #18-#24
- Thread Black 8/0
Materials
- Shuck Gray/amber material (few Antron fibers)
- Body Black or olive material (tying thread or fine dubbing)
- Wing/Post White uni stretch (poly yarn, upright)
- Thorax Black ostrich herl (fine dubbing)
How to tie it
- Mount the tiny hook and start thread mid-shank.
- Tie in a wisp of gray shuck at the bend, short and sparse.
- Build a slim thread or dubbed abdomen forward to the 65% mark.
- Post a short upright white poly wing at the 65% mark to serve as wing bud and sighter.
- Dub a tiny black thorax fore and aft of the post, using the barest pinch.
- Whip finish at the eye and trim the post to a low visible nub.
