Materials
Shuck Amber/olive material (few Antron fibers)
Body Olive-green material (fine dubbing)
Rib Yellow mcflylon (fine thread or wire (optional))
Wing/Post Gray or white braid (poly yarn, upright)
Thorax Dark olive material (dubbing)
Hackle Grizzly dyed olive hackle (1, parachute)
How to tie it
Mount the hook and start thread mid-shank.
Tie in a sparse amber-olive shuck at the bend, half a shank long.
Dub a robust olive-green abdomen forward to the 60% mark, ribbing with a strand of yellow if desired.
Post an upright gray poly wing at the 60% mark and stand it up with a few base turns.
Tie in a grizzly-olive hackle at the post, dub a stout dark thorax, then wind the hackle parachute-style in 4-5 turns.
Tie off against the post, whip finish, and trim the post to a stub.
