• Hook Articulated shank with trailing streamer hook, #2-#6 (front hook plus trailing hook)
• Thread Olive 6/0

Materials

• Rear Wing Olive/tan heads (arctic fox tail)
• Flash Copper flashabou (6-8 strands Krystal Flash)
• Rear Collar Olive ostrich herl (schlappen)
• Front Wing Olive over tan (arctic fox tail)
• Head/Collar Sculpin olive (dubbing brush or fur collar)
• Eyes Nickel material (small dumbbell)

How to tie it

1. Tie the rear section first: mount the trailing hook, stack a clump of olive-tan arctic fox for a flowing tail one shank long, and add a few strands of copper flash.
2. Wind a soft olive schlappen collar at the rear, sweep it back, then connect the shank to the trailing hook with wire loops or braid.
3. On the front shank, lash a small dumbbell under the shank near the eye so the fly rides hook-point up.
4. Build the front wing in two sparse fox layers, top and bottom, so the fly keeps a full baitfish silhouette that pushes water.
5. Spin or wrap a buggy sculpin-olive fur collar behind the eye and pick it out to breathe.
6. Whip finish behind the eye and sweep all fibers rearward.
7. Strip and pause it along drop-offs and undercut banks for predatory trout, especially in off-color water.
