Reference Recipe
- Hook Streamer/shank, straight eye, #2-#6
- Thread Black 6/0
Materials
- Tail/Body Pink ears (arctic fox tail hair)
- Flash Pearl flashabou (6-8 strands Krystal Flash)
- Collar Hot pink uni stretch (1 schlappen/rooster hackle)
- Hackle Guinea (1 feather)
- Bead/Cone Silver bead (1, at head)
How to tie it
- Slide a cone to the eye and mount the hook or shank, starting thread mid-shank.
- Stack a sparse clump of arctic fox tail and tie it in reaching about a shank-and-a-half for a flowing wing.
- Split a few strands of Krystal Flash over the top so a little sparkle rides through the fur.
- Tie in a hot-pink schlappen by the tip and wrap a soft, mobile collar in 3-4 turns.
- Follow with a guinea feather palmered once or twice for barred speckling and sweep the fibers rearward.
- Whip finish behind the cone and seat the cone against the thread dam.
