Terrestrial · Largemouth Bass · Smallmouth Bass · Panfish · Intermediate · 1 version

Classic Recipe

  • Hook Bass bug hook, 2-8
  • Thread Assorted 3/0

Materials

  • Body Foam popper body (pre-formed) (1)
  • Tail Marabou, hackle, and flash (full)
  • Legs Round rubber legs (2-3 pairs)
  • Eyes Stick-on 3D (1 pair)

How to tie it

  1. Slide the pre-formed foam popper body onto the hook and seat it with a drop of super glue, the flat face forward, at the hook eye.
  2. Behind the body, tie in a full tail: marabou for movement, 2-3 saddle hackle feathers for profile, a few strands of flash.
  3. Tie in rubber legs along the sides of the tail, or thread them through the foam body with a needle.
  4. Apply 3D stick-on eyes to the sides of the foam head.
  5. Seal the eyes and any thread work with UV resin.
