How to tie it
- Mount the hook and lay a thread base to the bend.
- Bind a tan foam strip along the shank and segment the rear body with 3-4 thread wraps to the 60% mark.
- Stack a clump of deer hair and tie it tented over the body, tips reaching the bend.
- Knot a rubber leg per side and figure-8 them so they kick down and back like hopper legs.
- Fold the foam forward over the thorax to form the head and bind behind the eye.
- Set a bright foam sighter tab on top for visibility.
- Whip finish and trim the deer butts and foam to a blunt head.
