On the rear hook, tie in bushy clumps of tan (bottom) and gray (top) marabou for the tail.
Tie in one strand each of muskrat-gray schlappen, tan schlappen and gold UV polar chenille, clip them together, twist into a complex-twist rope and brush out the fibers as you twist.
Wrap the twisted rope forward to build a shaggy body, tie off, whip finish and cement to finish the rear section.
On the front hook, lash barbell/dumbbell eyes near the eye (so it rides point-down) and lock them with superglue, then add 0.030 lead wire along the shank to tune the sink rate.
Lash articulation wire down the shank and slightly around the bend, thread on one gunmetal bead, connect the rear hook, fold the wire tags back and bind them down.
Repeat the complex-twist body (marabou clumps, schlappen, polar chenille) on the front hook, wrapping forward to about mid-shank.
Tie in two marabou tips (tan and gray) by the tips, fold them back, and wrap them forward together as a flowing collar.
Build the head around the eyes, brush out the whole fly, whip finish and cement.
