How to tie it
Optionally slide on a bead. Lay a thread base along the shank down to the bend.
Tie in a length of floss at the bend, leaving a short tag hanging off the back as one end of the worm.
Wrap the floss forward in smooth touching turns to build a slim, glossy body, then wrap back and forward again if you want more taper.
Tie off behind the bead, leaving a short floss tag over the eye as the other worm end. Floss gives a smoother, more translucent worm body than chenille.
Optionally counter-wrap fine wire for segmentation and durability.
Whip finish and trim both floss tags to short worm ends.
