Tail Brown permanent marker (2 goose biots, split)
Rib Gold middle (fine oval tinsel)
Body Peacock ice dub (peacock herl)
Wing Pearl anti static bag strip (2 strands Krystal Flash, split V)
Horns White uni stretch (2 goose biots)
Hackle Brown hackle (1 hen, 2 turns)
How to tie it
Slide the gold bead to the eye and start thread behind it.
At the bend tie in two brown biots splayed into a short forked tail about half a shank long.
Bind in the gold rib, then two or three peacock herls, and wrap the herl forward to just behind the bead for a fat body; rib it with 4-5 counter-wrapped turns for durability.
Tie in two brown hen hackle turns as a soft collar and sweep the fibers down and back.
Lay two strands of pearl Krystal Flash flat over the top and split them into a V flashwing that replaces the traditional white biot wings.
Add two white biot horns angled back over the flash, whip finish behind the bead and cement.
