  • Thread White 8/0 (70 denier)

Materials

  • Tail White Antron (short sparse tuft)
  • Body White/pearl (translucent) dubbing (slim)
  • Shellback/flashback Pearl tinsel (1 strip)
  • Rib Fine wire or mono (1 strand)
  • Eyes Black dot (optional) (1)

How to tie it

  1. Mount the scud hook and start thread.
  2. Tie in a short sparse tuft of white Antron at the bend for the tail.
  3. Catch in a strip of pearl flash and fine wire at the bend.
  4. Dub a slim translucent white body forward to the eye. Mysis are tiny and clear, so keep it sparse.
  5. Pull the pearl flash over the back as a shellback and rib the wire over it in 4-5 turns to segment and lock it.
  6. Whip finish, adding a tiny black dot behind the eye for the head if desired.
