Materials

  • Egg Glo Bug yarn (peach, orange, or chartreuse) (2 clumps)
  • Egg spot Contrasting Glo Bug yarn (small clump (optional))
  • Flash tail Pearl or pink Krystal Flash (short tag)

How to tie it

  1. Mount the egg hook and start thread at the middle of the shank.
  2. Tie in a short tag of pearl or pink Krystal Flash off the bend for the flash tail, about half a gap long.
  3. Stack two clumps of Glo Bug yarn on top of the shank and pull them upright.
  4. Optionally add a small contrasting clump for an egg spot.
  5. Gather all the yarn straight up, pull it taut, and snip straight across close to the hook to form a round egg.
  6. Whip finish underneath and trim any stray fibers to a clean ball.
