How to tie it
- Mount the dry-fly hook and start thread.
- Split 3-4 microfibbet tails at the bend, one shank length, forked wide for a spent stance.
- Dub a slim olive-gray abdomen forward to the 60% mark.
- Tie a few strands of pearl flash across the hook in a figure-8 to set spent wings flat to each side, then trim them even.
- Dub a small thorax over the wing base to lock the figure-8.
- Whip finish and add a tiny drop of cement.
