How to tie it
- Seat a gold bead behind the eye, mount, start thread, and slide a few wraps of lead-free wire up to the bead.
- Split two brown biots at the bend for the tail, half a shank long.
- Tie in gold wire and a strand of pearl flash, then wrap a plump peacock-herl body to the bead.
- Counter-rib the gold wire forward in 4-5 turns to protect the herl.
- Wrap 2 turns of brown hen for a collar and sweep it back.
- Tie two white biots in a V flat over the back, then pull the pearl flash over as a flashback and bind behind the bead.
- Whip finish.
