  • Thread Hopper Yellow 140 denier

Materials

  • Head Gold middle (large brass cone (1/4"))
  • Weight Lead (.025 wire underbody)
  • Tail Gold variant material (rabbit zonker strip over UV-pink ice dub ball)
  • Body Gold middle (medium UV polar chenille)
  • Collar 1 Shrimp pink (ripple ice fiber)
  • Collar 2 Brown UV material (strung marabou)
  • Collar 3 Barred UV material (Senyo predator wrap)
  • Throat Red buzzer wrap (fox hair)

How to tie it

  1. Slide a large gold cone onto a #4 streamer hook, mount, and wrap a bed of lead wire behind the cone to sink it.
  2. Start thread at the bend and dub a small ball of UV-pink ice dub to flare the tail.
  3. Tie in a gold-variant rabbit zonker as the tail, a shank-and-a-half long, seated against the dubbing ball.
  4. Bind in gold UV polar chenille and palmer it forward over the rear two-thirds, sweeping fibres back.
  5. Wind a collar of shrimp-pink ripple ice fiber, then a few turns of brown UV marabou, sweeping back each wrap.
  6. Add a collar of barred UV predator wrap, then stack a small clump of red fox hair on top as a hot throat.
  7. Sweep everything back, seat the cone tight against the collar, and whip finish behind the cone.
