Thread fluorescent pink or tan 140 denier 140 denier
Materials
Thread Fl. pink 140 denier (1 spool)
Body 2mm craft foam, color of choice (1 strip)
Underbody/Tail Pink Krystal Flash (few strands)
Dubbing UV Ice Dub (pinch)
Wing White poly yarn or macrame yarn (1 clump)
Legs Barred Sili legs (2 pairs)
How to tie it
Lay a thread base along the shank. Tie in a short tail of Krystal Flash at the bend.
Cut a strip of 2mm foam roughly a hook-gap wide. Tie it down at the bend so the tag hangs back over the tail.
Dub a thin segment of Ice Dub, then pull the foam forward and lock it down to form the first body segment. Repeat, dubbing and folding, to build 2-3 evenly spaced foam segments up the shank.
At the front segment, tie in a clump of white poly yarn as an upright indicator wing so you can track the fly.
Add a pair of barred rubber legs on each side, splayed fore and aft.
Whip finish under the wing and trim the front foam to a short head. Trim legs to about one shank length.
