How to tie it
Mount the Aqua Flies Return Eye shank, start thread behind the eye, and wrap all the way back to the rear.
Pass Senyo's Trailer Hook Wire through the return eye so a loop hangs a little over one shank length behind the rear of the shank. Bind it down tight along the shank, fold the tag ends back under the eye, and bind them again so a hard-pulling fish cannot pull the trailer out. Cover the wire with thread.
Figure-8 the Double Pupil Lead Eyes on the underside of the shank just behind the eye. Check they sit straight and are firmly seated.
Wrap back to the end of the shank and bind in about five strands of Holographic Flashabou, doubled over. Do not trim it to length yet; it is cut at the very end.
Form a dubbing loop and load it with a generous pinch of Ice Dub, keeping the fibres long. Spin it only moderately so the fibres are not trapped, then wrap it forward, stopping well short of the eyes. Tie off, trim, and sweep everything back.
Cut a strip of black Rabbit Strip about two shank lengths long, trim the fur off the hide, and lay it in a second dubbing loop with the butts flush to the thread. Spin it and wrap it forward to just behind the lead eyes, leaving room for the fins. Tie off and trim.
Take a clump of black bucktail from the lower part of the tail, bind it on one side of the shank so it extends about one shank length past the tie-in point, then wrap thread around the base of the bucktail itself to separate it from the rabbit and make it flare. Trim the butts.
Repeat with a second clump of black bucktail on the opposite side, wrapping around its base the same way, then cover the butts with tight wraps.
Bind in the Rabbit Strip wing on top, just at the lead eyes, so the fur extends about three shank lengths from the tie-in. Lock it with several tight wraps.
Cut another two-shank-length piece of Rabbit Strip, load it in a dubbing loop with butts flush, spin it tight, and figure-8 it around the lead eyes to cover everything. Secure, trim, and add a couple of finishing wraps.
Whip finish twice, pulling the material back so none is trapped. Trim the Flashabou just shy of the rabbit wing tip.
Coat the head with Loon UV Resin Flow and cure it.
