Reference Recipe
- Hook 60-degree jig nymph hook, 16-22
- Thread Black 10/0
Materials
- Bead Silver bead (slotted tungsten, 2.0-2.5mm)
- Body Black ostrich herl (tying thread)
- Rib Silver metal tape (fine wire)
How to tie it
- Slide the silver slotted bead to the eye and start black thread behind it.
- Bind a length of fine silver wire along the shank and wrap thread to the bend.
- Build a slim, smooth thread body forward to just behind the bead.
- Spiral the silver wire forward in 5-6 evenly spaced turns and helicopter off the tag.
- Take a couple of finishing wraps behind the bead and whip finish.
- Optionally coat with thin UV resin for durability.
