- Hook 60-degree jig nymph hook, 16-20
- Thread Black 10/0
Materials
- Bead Silver bead (slotted tungsten, 2.0-2.5mm)
- Butt Fluoro red mono (thread or floss)
- Body Black ostrich herl (tying thread)
- Rib Silver metal tape (fine wire)
How to tie it
- Slide the silver slotted bead to the eye and start black thread behind it.
- Wrap a short, bright red hot butt over the rear one-sixth of the shank.
- Bind a length of silver wire and build a slim, smooth black thread body forward to the bead.
- Spiral the silver rib forward in 5-6 evenly spaced turns and helicopter it off.
- Take a couple of finishing wraps behind the bead, then whip finish.
- Coat the body with thin UV resin for a durable, glossy shell.
