  • Hook 60-degree jig nymph hook, 14-18
  • Thread Black 8/0

Materials

  • Bead Silver bead (slotted tungsten, 2.5-3.0mm)
  • Tag Fluoro pink mono (floss or thread)
  • Body Peacock ice dub (2-3 peacock herls)
  • Rib Silver metal tape (fine wire)
  • Collar Black ostrich herl (thread)

How to tie it

  1. Seat the slotted bead and start thread behind it, running to the bend.
  2. Wrap a short, bright pink tag over the rear one-fifth of the shank.
  3. Twist the peacock herl into a rope and wind a body forward to the 70% mark.
  4. Counter-wrap the silver rib in 5 open turns to protect the herl and tie off.
  5. Build a small black thread collar behind the bead.
  6. Whip finish and add a drop of cement.
