Reference Recipe
- Hook 60-degree jig streamer hook, 8-12
- Thread White 6/0
Materials
- Bead Gold bead (slotted tungsten, 3.5-4.0mm)
- Tail Olive ostrich herl (marabou, short clump)
- Body Pearl anti static bag strip (flat braid or ice dub)
- Flash Pearl flashabou (few strands Krystal Flash)
- Collar Olive ostrich herl (ice dub or soft hackle)
How to tie it
- Seat the slotted bead against the eye and start thread behind it.
- Tie in a short marabou tail about one shank length, kept sparse so it kicks.
- Add a few strands of pearl flash over the tail, trimmed to tail length.
- Wrap a pearl braid or ice-dub body forward to the 70% mark.
- Dub or wind a soft olive collar behind the bead to suggest gills and pectorals.
- Sweep the fibers back, whip finish behind the bead, and add a drop of cement.
