How to tie it
- Seat the slotted bead against the eye and start thread behind it.
- Tie in a short tuft of hare's guard hairs, about half a shank long.
- Dub a slim tapered body of hare's ear up to the 60% mark using half the dubbing you think.
- Rib forward with 4-5 open turns of gold wire and tie off.
- Dub a fatter, spiky thorax of coarse mask dubbing up to the bead.
- Pick out the thorax with a bodkin to free the buggy guard hairs for legs.
- Whip finish behind the bead.
