- Hook 2XL nymph hook, 12-18
- Thread black 8/0
Materials
- Gold bead Gold bead (1)
- Goose biots Brown goose biots (2 for tail)
- Peacock herl Natural peacock herl (body)
- Tinsel Gold/pearl tinsel (rib)
- Goose biots White goose biots (2 for wings)
- Hen hackle Brown hen hackle (1 for collar)
How to tie it
- Slide the gold bead to the eye and start thread behind it.
- Tie in two brown goose biots as a split tail at the bend and a length of tinsel for the rib.
- Wrap a peacock herl body forward to just behind the bead, then counter-rib with the tinsel and tie off.
- Wrap a brown hen hackle collar behind the bead and sweep the fibers back.
- Tie two white goose biots in a V over the top as wings, angled back over the body.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
