Mount the tarpon hook, heavy wire, razor sharp. Check the point before you start; tarpon mouths are bone.
Tie in EP Fibers in alternating black and purple clumps along the shank, working from the bend forward. Figure-8 each clump to distribute it around the shank.
Add Flashabou between clumps, purple flash over black fibers reads as a strong silhouette in dark water.
Brush all fibers out with a velcro brush, then trim to a baitfish taper. Deep through the middle, tapering to the tail.
Apply large eyes to each side of the head.
Coat the head area with UV resin and cure. The resin armor is what survives a tarpon's jaw.
