- Hook Curved emerger/scud hook, #12-#16
- Thread Cream 8/0
Materials
- Bead Gold bead (1 small tungsten)
- Shuck Amber vinyl rib medium (Sparse Z-lon)
- Abdomen Cream/pale yellow material (Fine dubbing)
- Rib Fine gold (Wire, 4 turns)
- Thorax Cream semperfli cashmere monkey (Dubbing, plump)
- Wing bud Light dun/cream wing bud (CDC tuft)
How to tie it
- Slide the gold bead to the eye, mount the hook, and start thread at the bend.
- Tie in a wispy amber shuck about half a shank long.
- Bind in the wire, then dub a pale cream abdomen to the 60% mark.
- Counter-wrap the rib in 4 open turns and tie off.
- Tie in a short cream CDC wing bud over the bead.
- Dub a plump cream thorax around the wing and up to the bead, then whip finish.
