Materials
- Bead Gold bead (1 small tungsten)
- Shuck Tan carapace (Sparse Z-lon)
- Abdomen Speckled gray-tan material (Callibaetis dubbing)
- Rib Fine gold (Wire, 4 turns)
- Thorax Gray-tan material (Dubbing, plump)
- Wing bud Dun/grizzly wing bud (CDC or hen tuft)
How to tie it
- Slide the gold bead to the eye, mount the hook, and start thread at the bend.
- Tie in a sparse tan shuck about half a shank long.
- Bind in the wire, then dub a slim speckled gray-tan abdomen to the 60% mark.
- Counter-wrap the rib in 4 open turns and tie off.
- Tie in a short mottled CDC wing bud over the bead.
- Dub a plump gray-tan thorax around the wing base up to the bead and whip finish.
