Start the UTC - Brown thread one to two eye lengths behind the eye. Cut a short length of McFlylon+ - Brown, split it into quarters and use one quarter for the shuck; bind it well down the bend, almost to where the hook starts curving back.
Add the UTC 70 Denier - Yellow thread. Pull the brown thread back out of the way and wrap the yellow down to the same point and back. Pull out a length of the brown thread and snip it; this becomes the rib.
Tie in the Nature's Spirit Turkey Biot Quills - Yellow and wrap forward in touching, overlapping wraps, taking the butt in hackle pliers for the last turn or two. Secure with wraps over and in front, snip, and add a few more wraps.
Pinch the brown thread tag in hackle pliers, spin it to cord it, and wrap it forward in the same direction as the biot for segmentation and durability. Secure over and in front, then snip.
Trim the shuck with a couple of partial snips rather than one straight cut, to give it a taper.
Snip a generous clump of Select Cow Elk - Bleached, pull out the fuzz and short fibers, stack, and tie it in at about body length or slightly shorter; this is an emerger stuck in the film, not a caddis wing.
Dub a loose noodle of SLF Bug Dub - Hare & SLF in Orange and wrap it, then brush the fibers back to pull out the flash.
Tie in about four CDC Feather Tips - Yellow as the second wing and snip the butts.
Put one or two CDC Feather - Yellow in a clip. Spin the bobbin counterclockwise to flatten the thread, flatten it further over a bodkin, and split it. Set the CDC in the split thread, release the clip, trim the very ends of the butts that will wrap last so they do not crowd the eye, and spin.
Wrap the head from the base of the wing forward in touching wraps, pulling the fibers back on each turn. Pull the fibers back, take a few more wraps, whip finish and snip.
Apply a small amount of UV resin to the head and cure it, then tease the fibers into shape with your fingers.
