Hen hackle Furnace / brown hen hackle (soft-hackle collar)
Ice Dub UV pink ice dub (hot-spot collar)
How to tie it
Slide the 2.8 mm gold slotted bead onto the hook, add 8-10 wraps of.015 lead wire, and slide the lead into the bead; pinch it in place.
Start red thread behind the lead, build a small ramp to lock the lead into the bead, then wrap through and over the lead to secure it.
Tie in a tail of about 15-20 bright red hackle fibers at the bend, roughly half a shank-length long; trim the butts.
Tie in a strand of 6X tippet and a strand of pearl Sulky tinsel at the bend for two ribs.
Dub a slim peacock Ice Dub body forward almost to the bead.
Counter-wrap the Sulky tinsel forward over the body to lock the dubbing, then wrap the 6X tippet forward the opposite way (counter to the tinsel) to reinforce it; tie off and trim both.
Tie in a furnace hen hackle by the tip, wrap it twice for a soft-hackle collar, stroke the fibers back, and secure.
Dub a tiny bit of UV pink Ice Dub between the collar and bead as a hot spot, whip finish with the red thread, and clip.
