How to tie it
- Mount the dry hook and run thread to the bend; tie in a sparse tan Antron shuck extending half a shank past the bend.
- Dub or wrap a slim peacock body forward to the 70% mark.
- Stack a heavy clump of CDC tips flat over the back as a tent wing, reaching the bend.
- Add a small poly-yarn overwing on top of the CDC for extra flotation and bind both at the 70% mark.
- Spin the CDC butt fibers into a collar of soft hackle around the front, then trim the bottom flat.
- Build a small head and whip finish; dress only with powder or gel floatant made for CDC.
