Materials
- Bead Copper tungsten bead (1)
- Tail CDL (sparse)
- Body Squirrel or hare, brown-purple blend (dubbed slim)
- Rib Copper wire (fine)
- Collar CDC + Ice Dub (sparse)
How to tie it
- Slide a copper tungsten bead to the front of the jig hook, mount it, and start brown thread behind the bead.
- Run thread to the bend and tie in a sparse Coq de Leon tail about one shank long.
- Catch in fine copper wire for the rib, then dub a slim brown-purple squirrel or hare body forward to the thorax and tie off.
- Spiral the copper wire forward in 5-6 open turns and secure.
- Dub a sparse collar of blended CDC and Ice Dub behind the bead for a buggy, mobile front.
- Sweep the collar fibers back, build a thin thread wrap, whip finish and varnish.
