Hook Barbless dry-fly / wide-gape hook, 14-18

Materials
Body Black foam (two segments) or dubbed black fur (1 strip)
Legs Black rubber/Spanflex or hackle fibers (3 pairs)
Hackle Black or brown dry-fly hackle (1 feather)
Indicator Hi-vis foam or poly tuft (optional) (small tab)
How to tie it
Start thread mid-shank and tie in a strip of black foam at the bend; pull it over and cinch it down to form a distinct raised rear gaster (the drooping "drop arse" abdomen that hangs the tail in the film).
Advance the thread and tie a couple of turns of black hackle at the waist, or add three pairs of splayed rubber legs at the pinch between the two body segments.
Pull the foam forward again to form the front thorax segment and tie it down behind the eye.
Wind a turn or two of hackle at the head (or add a small hi-vis poly/foam indicator tuft on top so you can track the low-riding fly).
Whip finish behind the eye and add a drop of cement.
