Mount the hook and lay a full thread base along the shank.
Bind a doubled strip of black foam along the top of the shank, catching it down with tight thread wraps at three points to segment the fat body, stopping at the 70% mark.
Add a pair of barred rubber legs at each segment point, splayed to the sides.
Tie in a pearl flash underwing and a white poly overwing angled back, tips near the bend, so it reads as a downwing and works as a sight aid.
Fold a tan foam strip forward over the head for a two-tone bullet and bind it at the eye, leaving an orange tab up top.
Add a final pair of legs at the head, whip finish behind the eye and snip, then trim the foam head square.
