Tail Brown permanent marker (hare's mask guard hairs)
Rib Gold middle (fine oval gold tinsel)
Body Natural case (hare's ear dubbing)
Thorax Natural dark material (coarse hare's mask dubbing)
Wingcase Pearl flashabou (strip of pearl tinsel or turkey)
How to tie it
Slide two gold beads onto the hook and push both to the eye, then mount the hook and start thread behind them.
Tie in a short clump of hare's guard-hair tail at the bend, one shank length long, and bind in the gold rib.
Dub a slim tapered body of hare's ear dubbing forward over the rear two-thirds.
Counter-wrap the rib forward in 5 evenly spaced turns, tie off and snip.
Bind in a pearl wingcase strip, then dub a fat, shaggy thorax up to the back bead.
Pull the wingcase over the thorax and secure it against the rear bead, whip finish between the two beads and snip, then pick out the thorax to suggest legs.
