Mount the hook and lay a thread base from eye to the bend.
Bind a black foam strip along the shank at the bend, then advance the thread forward in open spirals and pull the foam over the top, segmenting the body with 4-5 tight thread catches so it stands up in humps. Stop at the 75% mark.
Bind a pair of rubber legs on each side, splaying them fore and aft, at the two rearmost segment points.
Tie in a sparse pearl Krystal Flash underwing, then a clump of dark elk hair over it, tips reaching the hook bend. Half the hair you think.
Fold the remaining foam forward to form a low bullet head and bind it down behind the eye, then trim, leaving a short orange foam tab up top as a sight post.
Add a final pair of splayed rubber legs at the head, whip finish behind the eye and snip.
