How to tie it
Mount the swimming nymph hook with the eye pointing down so you can work at the front, and start rust 6/0 thread at the eyelet over a short base.
Tie a strip of white Antron in right behind the eyelet, take a few wraps, trim the excess and whip finish so the thread is out of the way.
Take the hook out of the vise, slide the 7/64 in matte black tungsten bead on with the big hole toward the eye so it traps the Antron, and remount the hook.
Restart the thread behind the bead and build a small thread dam so the bead cannot slide back.
Turn the hook so the shank runs vertically for access, and tie in one strand of black Flashabou for the rib.
Tie in two strands of smoke Buzzer Wrap, bind them back along the shank, then wrap the rust thread forward and back to build a tapered brown underbody.
Reposition the hook and wrap the smoke Buzzer Wrap forward over the rust underbody to form the body, tying off behind the bead.
Rib the body with the black Flashabou, about seven evenly spaced turns, and tie off.
Build a rust thorax behind the bead and whip finish.
Trim the white Antron gills short so only a small tuft sits on top of the bead, then coat the fly with UV resin and cure it under the lamp.
