Tyer Recipe

  • Hook wide-gape/scud hook, 8-12
  • Thread Purple 6/0

Materials

  • Foam booby eyes (foam in mesh) White thin fly foam (1 pair)
  • Marabou tail Purple marabou (1 plume)
  • Straggle/chenille body Purple estaz chenille (as needed)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread behind the eye and secure a pair of foam booby eyes at the front.
  2. Wrap back to above the barb and tie in a purple marabou tail one shank-length long.
  3. Tie in the body material and wrap forward to behind the eyes.
  4. Figure-eight around the eyes to lock them, build a head and whip finish.
