Goose biots, tail Dark olive turkey biot or quill (2, split into a V)
Lite Brite dubbing, body Peacock ice dub (Enough for a thin tapered body plus a small butt)
Wire rib Copper wire (Fine, 5-6 turns)
Saddle hackle tips Black saddle hackle (One tip, 2-3 turns)
Goose biots, wing Dark olive turkey biot or quill (2, set in a V on top)
Head cement Clear head cement (One dab)
How to tie it
Slide the 3.0mm copper bead on with the small hole toward the eye and start the olive thread, running it back to the bend.
Dub a very small pinch of peacock Lite Brite and form a tiny butt right at the rear of the shank. This bump is what splits the tail.
Set two dark olive goose biots one shank length long, one either side of the butt so they splay into a V, with a couple of loose wraps first and then tighten down.
Tie in the fine copper wire along the shank from just behind the bead back to the tail to keep the underbody even.
Wet your fingers, roll a sparse noodle of peacock Lite Brite onto the thread, and wrap it forward to the bead, going back over it a couple of times to bind it in and shape a thin, lightly tapered body.
Counter-wrap the copper wire forward in 5-6 turns, opposite to the direction you wound the body, and tie it off at the bead.
Tie in a black saddle hackle tip behind the bead, trim the stem, and take only 2-3 turns, keep the hackle small and tight, then tie off.
Set two more dark olive goose biots on top as the wing, one shank length long and splayed into a V reaching back to where the tail starts, with loose wraps first, then tighten and take a couple of wraps in front before trimming the butts.
Whip finish about four wraps to make a small olive head behind the bead and add a dab of head cement to finish.
