Tyer Recipe

  • Hook dry-fly hook, #12-16
  • Thread Orange 8/0

Materials

  • Body dubbing Orange ice dub
  • Wing Natural/dun CDC (1 bunch)
  • Hackle (optional) Ginger/brown hackle (1)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread and dub a slim tapered orange body from above the barb to two-thirds up the shank.
  2. Tie in a bunch of CDC fibres as a down-wing tent over the body, tips reaching the bend.
  3. Trim the wing butts; optionally wind a short hackle collar.
  4. Build a neat head and whip finish.
