Streamer · Wet Fly · Trout · Intermediate · 1 version
Tyer Recipe
- Hook 3xl streamer or curved scud hook, 10-14
- Thread black 8/0
Materials
- Tail Maroon marabou (small sparse clump)
- Body dubbing Blended maroon and black (1 loosely dubbed rope)
- Rib (optional) Fine copper wire (1 strand)
- Bead (optional) Black bead (1)
How to tie it
- Start thread at mid-shank and run to the bend above the barb.
- Tie in a sparse maroon marabou tail about one shank length long.
- Dub a shaggy blended maroon/black body forward to just behind the eye.
- Counter-rib with wire in open turns if used and tie off.
- Pick out the dubbing to give a mobile, buggy leech profile, then whip finish at the eye.
