How to tie it
Slide the 7/64 inch white bead onto the hook with the narrow hole toward the eye, then lay a good base layer of black nano silk and trim the tag.
Tie in one strand of red Flashabou near the eye and bind it back to about halfway around the hook bend, then wrap the thread back up and leave the red hanging off the back for the rib.
Tie in about 4 strands of green Flashabou at the same rear point, bring the thread forward and build a slight thread taper up to the bead. Nano silk is thin, so this is a light underbody only.
Wrap the green Flashabou forward: keep the rear thin with single, non-overlapping turns, then start doubling the wraps toward the front to build the taper into the thorax, and tie it off behind the white bead.
Rib with the red Flashabou (one turn at the very back, then 6-7 evenly spaced turns up to the bead) and tie off, trimming the excess.
Take a few wraps of black thread behind the white bead to give the fly a small black thorax, then whip finish and cut.
Coat the entire body and head with clear UV resin (clear only, the fly has plenty of colour already) and cure it with the lamp to finish.
