Tyer Recipe

  • Hook 2-3XL streamer/nymph hook, 6-12
  • Thread White 6/0

Materials

  • Marabou tail White/translucent marabou (1 plume)
  • Translucent dubbing or marabou body White/pearl translucent dubbing (as needed)
  • Wire rib Silver wire (1 length)
  • Bead (optional) Silver/clear bead (1)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread behind the eye and wrap to above the barb.
  2. Tie in a white marabou tail one shank-length long.
  3. Tie in the silver wire rib at the rear.
  4. Dub or wrap a translucent tapered body forward to behind the eye.
  5. Rib the wire forward in open spirals and tie off.
  6. Pick out the body for a ghostly halo, build a small head and whip finish.
