Slide the 7/64" Gold Tungsten bead on, small diameter toward the eye, and start the pale olive thread.
Bind in the Small Olive Liquid Lace just behind the bead and bind it back to the bend, pulling on it as you go to keep it thin.
Bind in the Olive Grizzly Saddle about halfway along the shank and wind the thread back over it toward the bend, leaving some fibres to splay at the rear as a short tail.
Bind two strands of Blue Dun Ostrich Herl in behind the bead and bind them back to the bend.
Lift the hackle and herl out of the way, take one wrap of Liquid Lace behind them, then wrap forward in open, evenly spaced turns to the bead, pulling lightly for clean segments and leaving a gap between turns for the hackle and herl.
Wind the hackle forward in the gaps left by the Liquid Lace, all the way to behind the bead, to form long legs.
Trim the hackle flush off the top and both sides, leaving only the long legs hanging straight down.
Wind the ostrich herl forward in the same gaps and tie off behind the bead.
Wet your fingers and stroke all the material down under the fly. Do not cut the ostrich; pluck only stray fibres standing on top. Whip finish behind the bead.
Coat the fly with thin clear UV resin and cure, then lay a thicker layer of Gulff Clear Medium UV Resin along the top as the back and cure.
