Tyer Recipe
- Hook jig nymph hook, 12-18
- Thread Black 8/0
Materials
- Slotted tungsten bead Copper or gold slotted tungsten bead (1)
- Coq de Leon tail fibres Natural coq de leon fibers (small bunch)
- Body dubbing or thread Brown/olive body dubbing or thread (as needed)
- Wire rib Copper wire (1 length)
- Hot spot collar (thread/dubbing) Orange or pink dubbing (few wraps)
How to tie it
- Slide the slotted bead onto the jig hook and start thread behind it.
- Wrap to above the barb and tie in a short Coq de Leon tail about half a shank long.
- Tie in the wire rib, then build a slim tapered body forward toward the bead.
- Rib the wire forward in open spirals and tie off.
- Add a bright hot-spot collar behind the bead and whip finish.
