Antron dubbing body Dark olive dubbing (A very sparse amount)
Z-lon wing Brown zelon (Three small clumps)
Dry fly hackle Brown hackle (One small feather, 2 turns)
Head cement Clear head cement (One dab)
How to tie it
Start the olive thread on the hook and run it to the bend.
Tie in one small clump of orange Antron dubbing at the bend, then pull it apart and keep teasing it back until you have a thin, wispy trailing shuck about one shank length long.
Dub the dark olive Antron very sparsely onto the thread, wrap it forward, then wrap back over it with bare thread to keep the body thin.
Tie in the wing in three brown Z-lon clumps near the eye: one on the far side, one on top, one toward you. Z-lon is thin, so three clumps are what gives the wing its shape.
Gather the three clumps into one wing, pull it back, and trim it off level with the back of the body. Keep the wing short.
Choose a hackle with fibres about half the hook gap, smaller than you would normally pick, tie it in near the eye, trim the stem, and take no more than two turns before tying it off.
Whip finish the head, cut the thread, and add a small dab of head cement to lock everything together.
