Cone Large copper brass cone, set 1/4 shank back (1)

How to tie it
Slide the cone on and stop it a quarter shank length behind the eye, the mid-shank cone acts as a spreader that flares every material behind it for volume. Wrap 10-12 turns of lead behind it and cement.
Tie in six strands of Flashabou (pearl, copper, gold) at the front of the cone so they trail along both sides.
Tie in a clump of cream Arctic fox for the belly, letting the soft fur roll around the shank against the cone.
Clip a marabou feather's stem halfway to thin it, and tie it in as the wing over the fox, extending past the bend.
Tie a heavier clump of tan Arctic fox completely around the shank as a collar, then trim it close on top and bottom.
Hand-stack tan UV Ice Dub around the collar area and wrap forward to the hook eye; whip finish.
Glue the holographic eyes against the front of the cone with flexible adhesive.
Bar the collar and wing with a sepia marker and touch the throat and cheeks with orange, then brush the wing out to soften the barring and trim the flash to random lengths.
