Tail Purple arctic fox (Hackle fibers or a few strands over golden pheasant crest)
Body Hot pink and purple material (Floss (rear) with purple/pink ostrich herl front)
Rib Silver metal tape (Oval tinsel)
Hackle Purple hackle (1 feather, palmered over front / as collar)
Wing Purple over pink (Marabou or dyed hackle)
Cheeks Jungle cock (1 pair (optional))
How to tie it
Mount the hook and start thread at the bend. Lay a short silver oval tag.
Tie in a purple tail and the silver rib.
Wrap a hot-pink floss body over the rear two-thirds, keeping it smooth, then counter-rib with 5 open turns of silver.
At the front third, twist purple and pink ostrich herl together and wind a fuzzy, mobile forward section. This herl front is what gives the fly its lively pulse in the swing.
Wind a purple hackle as a soft collar and sweep the fibers back.
Tie in a purple-over-pink marabou or hackle wing reaching to the tail, and add jungle cock cheeks if desired.
