- Hook Streamer/nymph, 6-12
- Thread Burgundy 8/0
Materials
- Tail Burgundy material (marabou plus a few strands of flash)
- Rib Copper thorax stripe (fine wire)
- Body dubbing Burgundy body dubbing (seal's fur or SLF)
- Hackle Burgundy hackle (one saddle/hen feather, palmered)
How to tie it
- Start the thread and lay a base to the bend.
- Tie in a burgundy marabou tail about one hook length long with a few strands of flash.
- Tie in a length of fine wire rib and a burgundy hackle by its tip at the bend.
- Dub a burgundy seal-fur body forward to just behind the eye.
- Palmer the hackle forward over the body, then counter-wrap the wire rib to lock it and tie off.
- Form a neat head and whip finish.
