UV resin (optional head) Red uv resin (small amount)
How to tie it
Secure the hook and start the gray thread, wrapping a base back to the bend.
Tie in a sparse bunch of Coq de Leon fibers for the tail, a little less than a shank length, then wrap the butts down to build a slight underbody.
Tie in a length of fine copper wire at the bend.
Dub a slim body of gray rabbit fur, blending in a few prism sparkle fibers, forward to about two-thirds of the shank.
Counter-wrap the copper wire forward over the body in open turns; tie off and trim.
Tie in one strand of peacock herl and wrap a small thorax; tie off and trim.
Prepare a partridge feather by stripping the fuzzy base to a small tie-in tip, tie it in, and take about two turns of soft hackle; tie off and stroke the fibers back.
Trim the excess and whip finish, keeping the collar sparse.
Optional: build a small red UV-resin head over the thread wraps and cure to finish.
